Dear Diary,
The “cage” can mean many things for many people. It can mean that someone feels trapped or that they aren’t able to do something. For me it has both meanings. At times I am so frustrated with my life that I feel like there is a cage holding me in place when I want to run. Run from my problems and just not have to worry about them ever again. At other times, I would like to do things but can’t because I don’t have the ability to. There at the moment when I can’t do what I would like is when there is a cage around me. Preventing me from freedom. The way I can break from the bars of the cage is to face my problem and not run from it. The cage is to keep me in reality and not to drift away and never come back. To me this cage is telling me not to back down and stand strong.
